In this article for DD Magazine, the Professional Association for Dutch Designers’s magazine, I give a bird’s-eye view of sustainability and web design by discussing three different projects: solar.lowtechmagazine.com, the website of Éditions Wildprojects and the 2022 Graduate Exhibition page of Konstfack. I use the three not only to discuss what is technically possible, but also how different tradeoffs are made.
