Let's talk Technology and Degrowth
Technology has a prominent role in contemporary society and degrowth proposes a radical transformation of society. That raises questions. What are the degrowth movements’ views on technology? What does technological innovation from a degrowth perspective look like? And how is that similar or different to other progressive political movements?
Institute of Degrowth Studies invites Andreas Roos to introduce the topic and answer these and other questions you may have. So join us for a presentation and Q&A moderated by Roel Roscam Abbing.
The event is free but we would like you to RSVP!
Andreas Roos, Ph.D., is an interdisciplinary scholar interested in human-environmental relations. His work draws on insights from fields such as ecological economics, political ecology, and environmental justice to understand the relation between technology and ecology in crisis.
Roel Roscam Abbing is a practice-based researcher in arts and design. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Interaction Design at Malmö University’s School of Arts and Communication (K3).
After the event we will probably go for a social drink. Location will be announced on the event.
